Ashur Blaine Novick was born in Fairfax, Virginia and grew up in Reston.

He graduated from the Landon School in Bethesda, Maryland and Wake Forest University with a B.A. and an M.B.A. Ashur spent most of his career with Vizient, a healthcare group purchasing organization and attained a vice president position.

He was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling to some of the best courses with family and friends.

Ashur is survived by his wife, Terisa Kimsey Novick, his parents, Nancy Rushton Novick and Arthur Jason Novick, his sister Kendra Novick Priest, his brother-in-law, Randall Ray Priest, his niece Avery Ellice Priest and his dogs Aspen and Jagger.
