Aubrey Dean Russum, age 84, passed away at home on Saturday January 4, 2025. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend who will be missed by those that knew him and his infectious smile.
Aubrey "Russ" was born July 5, 1940, in Vernon Texas, where he spent his youth and met Merentha Kay Lyles, the love of his life. Married on November 19, 1960. The couple lived in Wichita Falls TX, then moved to Denver Colorado where Aubrey started his career working for Wesco Fabrics. In 1969 He and his family moved back to Texas where he retired in July 2001 after 38 years of dedicated service. Aubrey "Russ" Russum was a member of Grace Pointe Church in Irving Texas.
Aubrey is survived by his devoted wife, Merentha Kay Russum of 64 years, his daughters Donna Denise Tejes and Melody Gayle Russum, his grandchildren, Christi Deann Valentine, Aaron Dean Valentine, his great grandchildren, Taylor Lanee Valentine, Anderson Dean Valentine, his sister Ruby Russum Boman
Preceded in death by his brothers, Carrol Eugene Russum, Cecil Waymon Russum, Edgar Lee Russum, James Russum, Jerrel F. Russum, Richard Wayne Russum, William Franklin Russum, his sisters, Irene Russum Walker, Mary Louise Russum Purvis.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday January 18th at Grace Pointe Church, 209 Rolston Road Irving Tx. 75060
