Aurora Ann Hernandez, 50, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023. Aurora was born, July 8, 1972, in Dallas, Texas to Josephine DeLaTorre Guzman and Aniceto Diaz Guzman. She married Joe Hernandez on October 5, 2013, in Irving, Texas. Aurora loved camping and fishing. She also enjoyed playing her Loteria. She loved watching sports and would look forward to rooting on her Dallas Cowboys. But her favorite show by far was the Rise of Empires. Aurora was a past volunteer and Lifetime Member of the Irving Girls Cheerleader Association. Nothing brought more joy to her life than spending time with all her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother Josephine DeLaTorre Guzman; her granddaughter Amarie Elizardo; and her grandsons Alexander and Augustino Gonzalez. Survivors include her father, Aniceto Diaz Guzman of Grand Prairie, Texas; her husband, Joe Hernandez of Grand Prairie, Texas; her daughters Felisha Vasquez and husband Patrick Vasquez of Irving, Texas; Maria Gonzalez and Jose Rodriguez of Blue Mound, Texas; Josephine Gonzalez of Dallas, Texas; her stepson Joe Elizardo; her stepdaughters Aimee Elizardo and husband Josue Benitez of Dallas, Texas; Alyssa Elizardo and husband Luis Leal of Irving, Texas; her brother Gino Guzman and wife Tiffany Guzman of Arlington, Texas; sisters Tracy Paredez and her husband Raymond of Arlington, Texas; Christina Guzman of Irving, Texas; along with 16 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of extended family members. Family and friends are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life, which will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Cockrell Hill United Methodist Church. 4031 W. Clarendon Dr., Dallas, TX 75211.
