Obituary

Lois Merle Middlesworth Bagott, 30 year plus resident of Grand Prairie and long time member of the First United Methodist Church of that town, was born October 17, 1916, in Charleston, IL, and died peacefully in her sleep during the night of April 11, 2013, in Irving, TX. Married to Lowell Bagott on March 17, 1939, Lois was a Registered Nurse and a dedicated, devoted and tireless worker at all levels of numerous church, school, scouting and civic volunteer activities and was a Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star. Lois and Lowell travelled to every part of the United States during their lives together, especially after their relocation from the Detroit area to Grand Prairie, TX, upon their retirements in 1980. Lois was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Mary Edna Middlesworth, her husband, granddaughter Angie Bagott, brothers Harold and Mike Middlesworth, sister Cleda Pope, and daughter-in-law Nancy Bagott. Lois is survived by her sister Shirley Hill of Bloomington, IL, and sons Tom of Bloomington, MN, and Gerry of Grand Prairie and his wife Cindy and their son Lowell Charles Bagott II, his wife Jenny and their son Hunter. Also surviving are Toms step-daughters Bonnie Nolan (children Katherine and Paul Robert) and Heidi McKee (children Victoria, Adam, Kevin and Brett). Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. A memorial service will be held on May 3, 2013, in Baker Chapel at the First United Methodist Church of Grand Prairie at 3:00. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to First United Methodist Church, 122 Center St, Grand Prairie, TX 75050 or the charity of your choice.
