Obituary

Phillip D. Bearden was taken from us on November 2, 2020 in Dallas, Texas. Phil was born April 1, 1946 to F. W. & Vernie Bearden who lived in Moon, Texas. When Phil was 3, they moved to the community of Springlake-Earth, Texas where he attended school from First grade through Graduation. In his Sophomore Year, he played Football until an injury ended his athletic career. During his high school years, Phil was on the Student Council, a member of the FFA, was voted Liveliest, Mr Personality, Happy-go-Luckiest & Class President. It was no surprise to anyone that Phil should receive such accolades. Phil never met a stranger & all who knew him were proud to call him friend. He attended Hardin Simmons & WTSU. While in college, Phil traveled with the Rodeo Team. In 1971 Phil moved to Dallas, Texas where he later met the love of his life, Krys Malcomesius. Phil worked at Central Freight Lines in Dallas, Texas for 10 years. Phil & Krys went back to Springlake-Earth, Texas where Phil took over working the Family Farm when his Father retired. When they moved back to Dallas, Phil worked at Newark Electronics for over 25 years before he retired. For 10 of those years Phil moved to work in their Cleveland, Ohio office. Phil is survived by Krys Bearden, his wife of over 46 years. He is also survived by 6 nieces, 7 nephews, 5 great-nieces & 9 great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents - F. W. & Vernie Bearden, his sister & her son - Ann Sizemore & Adam Kemp, his father & mother-in-law - Leon & Neva Malcomesius. Please join the family in a Celebration of Life for Phil on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Wear a hat in honor of Phils love of hats.
