Obituary

On September 15, 1932, the world changed when Norma Lou Falletta was born. She was destined to achieve greatness. Again, on October 20, 2018, our world changed when Norma Falletta Berry completed her journey and finished her fight. She was a genuine warrior. Her kindness, compassion and sincere desire to know every person she met, was her trademark. She attended the University of Kansas where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. She attended the University of Iowa where she earned her Master of Science degree also in Nutrition and Dietetics. Norma first moved to Dallas in 1963. She taught as an Associate Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Dallas. In 1996, Norma returned to college and earned her Ph.D. in Allied Health Administration and Education at Texas A&M University. She then became the Southwest Regional Manager for the Hospital division of the Morrison Corporation. Norma retired from Morrison's in 2000 and moved to Pittsboro, NC. In 2013 she decided to simplify her life. Norma chose to move into Edgemere, a Premier Independent Senior Living Facility in Dallas, TX. Immediately, Norma thrived in her new home. She participated in many daily activities and made many close friends. She was an active member of the Episcopal Church. Most recently, she attended Saint Michael & All Angels Episcopal Parish in Dallas. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Norma and Matthew Falletta of Arma, Kansas. Norma will be lovingly remembered by her three children: Beth, David, Kathleen and their families. She is also survived by her brother, John Falletta and his family from Chapel Hill, NC. A special note of gratitude to Terry and Elizabeth; who cared for Norma with compassion and patience. They were essential elements in providing comfort, care and genuine love. In addition, we would like to personally thank all of Saint Michaels' support teams. Your actions as a church community touched her heart and ours.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Norma on November 6th at 4:30pm Performing Arts Center at Edgemere 8523 Thackery Street, Dallas TX, 75225
