Obituary

Bradford Lee Betts quietly passed away at Medical City Plano on June 27, 2021. Brad was born at Medical Center Plano in 1984 and was a true Texan and very proud and honored to be a lifelong Texan. He passed peacefully surrounded by his parents and brothers. Brad graduated from Plano West High School in 2003 where he was a member of the Plano West Drama Club as well as the International Thespian Society. Brad was an expert at sound and lighting and was highly appreciated for his skill and gentle demeanor. Brad loved playing drums and was a brilliant drummer. He went on to attend Oklahoma State University and worked in banking in the North Dallas area. Survivors include his parents, Terry and Phyllis Betts of Plano, his older brother David Betts (Michelle) of Lewisville, TX, and his younger brother Christopher Betts (Sara) of Las Vegas, Nevada. And his niece and nephews Emma, Benjamin, and Andrew. Brad was totally loyal to his companion and faithful dog, Lyla, who preceded him. His love of dogs and his commitment to helping animals in shelters, lead us to recommend memorial contributions to Operation Kindness https://www.operationkindness.org/, a no kill shelter located at 3201 Earhart Drive, Carrollton, Texas 75006, 972-418-7297. A Memorial Service will be held at Aria Funeral Home at 19310 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas on July 6, 2021 from 5-7 PM. Relatives and Friends are welcome to come by to say farewell. Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
