Beverly D. Hickerson, 81, of Bonham, Texas, formerly of Quincy, died Thursday, May 1, 2025, in Seven Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bonham, Texas.

Beverly was born June 26, 1943, in Quincy to Roy and Norma (Jackson) Rosendale. She married James H. Hickerson in Quincy, IL on Feb. 19, 1972. He survives.

Beverly attended Quincy High School, graduating in 1960. She then attended Gem City Business College. Beverly began working at First Banker's Trust Company in the installment loan department in 1978 and continued there until 1992. Beverly and Jim moved from Illinois to Plano, Texas in 1993. There, she began working at Higuchi, Inc. USA, starting as a secretary and working her way up to Vice President. She retired in 2019.

Beverly had a talent for crochet. She made a baby blanket for all 13 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson. She also enjoyed reading and traveling. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Plano, Texas.

In addition to Jim, her husband of 53 years, Beverly is survived by her four children, Kimberly Burwinkel of McKinney, Texas, Kandi (Matt) Ehrhart and Kari (Mark) Flynn of Quincy, IL, and April (Curt) Bergstrasser of Bonham, Texas; three sisters, Tanna Barry of Quincy, IL, Rebecca (Ron) Fazio of Sachse, Texas, and Pamela (Will) Thornburg of Aubrey, Texas; 13 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, two sons-in-law, Fred Arnsman and Tom Burwinkel, and two brothers-in-law, Norman Kendall and Daniel Barry.

Services will be held May 16, 2025, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Plano, Texas, at 11 am with Rev. Dr. Victor J. Kollmann officiating.
