Jeanie Hobbs Dunlap, 72, beloved wife of Tom, cherished mother of Madison, Pearce, and Emma, mother-in-law to Lauren and Danielle, grandmother to Daniel and Emma Grace, and sister to Janice, passed away on August 19, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and strength.

Born on March 28, 1952, in Austin, Texas, to Bill and Adah Hobbs, Jeanie traveled and lived around the globe with her family throughout her life until she moved to Dallas, where she met her husband of 42 years, Tom, and started a family. Jeanie was the heart of the family. A devoted mom and wife, she was nurturing and compassionate, always giving warm hugs and unconditional love. Patient, intelligent, kind, and fearless, her wisdom and understanding of the world comforted and guided her family through life's challenges. She treasured each moment spent with her loved ones and welcomed everyone with open arms. Jeanie loved family gatherings and was renowned for her family dinners, perfectly decorated tables, cooking talents, and homemade desserts. She also enjoyed collecting antiques and fossils, gardening, caring for her animals, traveling the world, and being a lifelong learner. For 24 years, Jeanie dedicated her career to teaching at The Westwood School, where she influenced hundreds of young lives in her role as a Montessori teacher. She moved with love, effortlessly making friends with her bright smile and beautiful soul, leaving a piece of her compassion and wisdom with everyone she encountered.

Jeanie's legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched, the love she shared, and the memories she created with her family and friends. Her boundless love will continue to inspire, reminding us to embrace kindness and connection. Jeanie will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
