In loving memory of our father, grandfather and brother, Billy Frank Trent, who passed away on October 20, 2023. Billy was born on December 23, 1943, to Billy Raye Trent and Bobby Gene Pointdexter in Dallas, Texas. After graduating from Garland High School in 1961, he enlisted in the United States Navy, which led to his lifelong career. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer as a Journalist and Radio - TV Specialist. As part of his time in the military, he was stationed at sea on multiple aircraft carriers like the USS Enterprise and USS Coral Sea. Through his time served, he was awarded numerous ribbons, commendations, and service medals. This journey took him and his family around the world and created many wonderful memories and experiences. During these years, our father learned the importance of hard work and he instilled that same work ethic in us. He was a man of strong faith, and he taught us the importance of family and love of country. He was a passionate writer in his career and free time, writing to entertain and educate any that would listen until the end of his days. Billy was preceded in death by his grandparents Boice and Malevia Poindexter, Parents Billy Trent and Bobby Juroch as well as his son Trevor Trent. He is survived by daughter Tiffany Schmidt, son and daughter-in-law Kenneth & Delorus Trent as well as two sisters and brother-in-law, Connie & Paul Briggs and Gloria Michaels. He also has many loving grand and great grandkids who will miss him dearly. A service honoring the life of Billy Frank Trent will be held at 1:15pm, Thursday, November 16, 2023 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery with military honors.
