Bobby Leon
Hood
Mar 31, 1939 — Oct 4, 2024
Bobby Leon Hood, 85, of Rowlett, Texas, passed away on October 4, 2024.
Born in Athens, Texas on March 31, 1939, to Raymond and Inez Hood, Bobby grew up in Corsicana, Texas, where he lettered in varsity basketball at Corsicana High School. After graduating, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from East Texas State College. On September 22, 1961, he married the love of his life, Margie Crow. Shortly after their wedding, Bobby was drafted into the Army, serving in the Hawk Missile Battalion in Germany.
Bobby dedicated most of his career to various engineering companies in piping design, retiring in 2017. He loved attending military and high school reunions, going to air shows, and indulging in all things military-related. Renowned for his ability to fix anything and his willingness to help others, Bobby's greatest joy came from spending time with his beloved Margie and their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margie Hood, his son Bryan Hood and wife Lori of Royse City, Texas, his daughter Jennifer Reeves and husband Jay of Josephine, Texas, his grandchildren Corey Schexnayder, Zachary Hood, Summer Dewees, Austin Dewees, and Tanner Dewees, and seven great-grandchildren.
Bobby's kindness, expertise, and unwavering devotion to his family will be dearly missed.
