Stephen Wayne Bossart passed away at the age of 63 peacefully in his sleep Thursday morning, May 16, 2013 in the presence of his loving wife of forty years, Mary Beth, due to complications from ALS. He is survived by his four children Rebecca, Paul, Matthew and Philip and their respective partners Ryan, Erin, Kathryn and Kirsten, two grandchildren Jeffrey and Owen, brother Patrick, sisters Georgia, Susan and Cheryl and their respective families as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Mattie Imogene and Albert Francis Bossart, his brothers Albert and Anthony Bossart and sister, Donna Lund. Steve, born in Jacksonville, Texas on November 8, 1949, graduated from Orange High School prior to matriculating to University of North Texas where he met and married Mary Beth Balkey beginning an adventure that lasted forty-one years. Transferring to Southern Methodist University, he graduated with an accounting degree in 1974 and began his career as a CPA. Having had a successful career he felt the need to make more of a difference and a mid-life career change resulted in his becoming a teacher for DISD. He began at John B. Hood Middle School before becoming a fixture at Bryan Adams High School where he expanded the minds of a decade of students in the realm of multimedia, web-mastering and digital graphics. An avid golfer, Steve could be found every weekend chasing the little white ball around on any of a number of the courses in Dallas and the surrounding areas. Though not a conventionally superior golfer there were few who enjoyed the sport more. His enthusiasm for life was an inspiration for his children and the many friends whose company he enjoyed. Diagnosed with ALS in December 2010, Steve maintained his humor throughout his ordeal, constantly inspiring his family and friends with his strength. He was much loved and admired and will be missed. Services will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church beginning with visitation from 1-2 followed immediately with a memorial service. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in Steve's name to (MDA/ALS Foundation, 12655 N. Central Expwy. #230, Dallas, Tx 75243). Aria Cremation Service & Funeral Home10116 E.
