Charles Edward Botefuhr died peacefully on July 28, 2015 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 79. "Ed" is survived by his sister, Patricia Lou Vestal and children, Amy Botefuhr Vuckovich of Los Angeles, Charles Edward Botefuhr Junior of Dallas Texas, John Daniel Botefuhr of Dallas, Courtney Elise Botefuhr of Costa Rica, and his grandchildren Nicholas and Elizabeth Vuckovich. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles Muller Botefuhr, Cora Lou Botefuhr, and his aunts, Elizabeth and Birnie Davenport. Charles was born on July 16, 1936 in Tulsa Oklahoma. He graduated from Highland Park High school in 1954 and a graduate of the University of Texas in 1958 and a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He served in the United States Air Force and was discharged honorably as a 1st lieutenant. He later earned his CLU. Charles was accomplished at jazz piano and kept one near him his entire life. He was a generous, witty, and dedicated individual who loved his children and who was passionate about business and entrepreneurship as well as being a Texas Longhorn. He was an active and dedicated member of the Rotary organization, often volunteered, and was a Paul Harris Fellow. A Memorial is scheduled on August 8, 2015 at 9 AM in Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa Oklahoma. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Charles's life.
