Donald Keith Bowen, 71, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully May 24, 2015, in hospice care surrounded by loved ones. He was born to the late Dorothy Grizzle Bowen, November 23, 1943, in Witchita, KS. He was raised in Holdenville, OK, and later relocated to Grand Prairie, TX at 16 years of age. Don married Shirley Musgrove and they had two children who he adored, Steven Clint and Leslie Dyan. Don and Shirley later divorced, and in 1995, he remarried to Marie Bowen of Dallas, TX. In Dallas, Don was mentored in the car sales business by several uncles. He became widely known in the greater Dallas area as a prominent figure in car sales for 45 years, retiring in 2008. Don was a 25 year member of Alcoholics Anonymous, helping untold numbers of men achieve sobriety and reclaim their lives. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and boating. He was a gregarious and kind man who helped many, many people throughout his life. Don never met a stranger. Don is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Marie Bowen. He is also survived by his two children, Leslie Pribble of Covington, TX, and Steven Bowen of Arlington, TX, as well as two grandchildren, Zachary Don Mathis (born on Dons 50th birthday), London Emily Pribble, and numerous other family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 3pm on Monday, June 1, 2015 at Aria Preston Chapel, 19310 Preston Road Dallas, TX 75252.
