Jeffery Harding Bower was born on May 9, 1947, in Berwick, Pennsylvania and passed away on May 28, 2014, at his residence in Dallas. He was preceded in death by his father Richard, mother Dolly, sister Sally and is survived by his wife Veronica Nicole Critten and sister Barbara Jane Bower.
He graduated from Emmaus High School in Emmaus, Pennsylvania on June 8, 1965. He received an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy graduating on June 4, 1969, with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant. On June 14, 1970, Jeffrey received a Master Science Degree from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. Continuing his education he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medicine by the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas on May 28, 1976. After receiving his M.D. he continued his military service until retiring on June 30, 1991, with the rank Colonel.
Dr. Bower practiced locally as a specialist of Internal and Pulmonary Medicine until March of this year. A celebration of life service will be take place at 2:00 p.m. on June 1, 2014, at Aria Funeral Home at 19310 Preston Road with interment to follow on June 2, 2014, at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway
