Our beloved, Terry Gene Braudrick, passed peacefully at age 68 in Frisco, Texas on October 3, 2021, surrounded by his wife and children. He was born to Billy Gene Braudrick and Shirley Marie Fulton on December 24, 1952 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Terry served in the United States Air Force in the Vietnam War, was a member of the Honor Guard, and a Law Enforcement Officer at Hickam Air Force Base and Bellows Air Force Base in Hawaii. During his time in Hawaii, he met the love of his life, Janey Medlen, and they married on June 15, 1974 in High Point, Missouri. Terry and Janey lived in Kailua, Hawaii until 1975 when they moved to Dallas, Texas, where they built a life and raised their children. Terry worked as a Real Estate Developer and Investor on multiple entrepreneurial ventures. He was a founding member and former deacon at Prestonwood Baptist Church. Terry served his community as the President of Bent Tree West Homeowner's Association for many years and was instrumental in building the Bent Tree West Swim & Tennis Club. He was also a member of the Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce. Terry was loved by everyone who knew him. He was a kindhearted man with a generous spirit. He loved to laugh, always had a joke for any occasion, and never met a stranger. Terry was known for his love of Texas, Dr. Pepper, Braum's, post-it notes and animals. His legacy will live on through his wife of 47 years, Janey (Medlen) Braudrick, their three children - Emily Stanton (Douglas), Sarah Braudrick, Grant Braudrick; three grandchildren - Sean Stanton (Meghan), Ella Stanton, Rushel Hawley; great-grandson - Colt Stanton; step-mother - Mickie Hickenbottom (Lewis); siblings - Paul Braudrick and Geni Hutchings (Joey). He was dearly loved by his in-laws, nieces, nephews, and entire extended family. Terry is preceded in death by his loving parents. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 29, 2021 at Prestonwood Baptist Church (Faith Chapel) 6801 W. Park Blvd., Plano, TX 75093. Terry will be laid to rest at The Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prestonwood Baptist Church or The Air Force Assistance Fund (AFAF).
