She attended Sulphur High school in Sulphur, Louisiana and graduated from McNeese State University, Lake Charles, Louisiana with a major in fashion merchandising and a minor in accounting.
In 1985 Brenda moved with her parents and siblings to Plano, Texas and remained in the Dallas area for the rest of her life. She worked most of her career at Baylor Hospital in the accounting department and then transitioned to the legal department. She ended her career in the legal department of Highland Homes.
Brenda was a 20-year survivor of ovarian cancer and helped so many via her blog, her positive attitude, kindness, loving heart, quick wit, and her belief in Jesus Christ her Lord. She was quick to smile and lend a hand and to see her, you would never have known that she had cancer. Brenda never gave up and always knew that God had a plan for her. Her faith and belief in prayer were strong. She was a good and faithful servant. You can read about Brenda's cancer journey in the book TORCH (Tales of Remarkable Courage and Hope) [Available at Amazon.com.]
