Walter H. Bunje joined heaven's choir on Friday, April 5, 2013. Born and raised in California, Walt attended UC Berkley, joined the Army Air Corp and served with pride during WWII. At 94, he had lived longer than his father and two brothers, a challenge he embraced with pride. His determination, wit and integrity inspired family members, business associates, tennis partners, and fellow choristers. He was always an active member and leader in Presbyterian churches, most recently at NorthPark. Walt is survived by his beloved wife, Helen, his three children, Pamela Bunje Bower (Peter), David Bunje (Janet), and Melissa Bunje Rankin (David), his stepdaughters Marsha Robertson (Alan) and Jan May, his ten grandchildren, and three of his four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at NorthPark Presbyterian Church in Dallas on Saturday, April 13th. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the NorthPark Presbyterian All Saints Fund. Walter will be laid to rest at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.
