Shirley "Sue" Callowhill was called home on December 25th, 2016 at the age of 81. She was met at the gates by her son Andy Callowhill, father Riddle & mother Ida Woodard Fulfer, her siblings Buck, Helen, Margarette, and Marie as well as other friends and family members that passed before her. They are united once again and watching over us all. Sue was born on June 26th, 1935 in Godley, Texas just outside of Cleburne. She was the 2nd to youngest out of 5 children. Sue attended school in the Godley and Cleburne area and moved to Dallas shortly thereafter. She settled in Duncanville, Texas where she called home. Sue had five children, Gloria Callowhill of Duncanville, Andy Callowhill of Duncanville, Doug Callowhill of Frisco, Alesia Harrenberg of Dallas, and Donna Wade of McKinney. She had six grandchildren, Paul Callowhill of Dallas, Candis Kirby of Frisco, Shelbie Silberbauer of Prosper, Jacob Wade of McKinney, Tori Callowhill of Frisco, and Andi Callowhill of Frisco. Three great grandchildren, Ryan Kirby of Frisco, Lena Simerly of Prosper and Joey Wade of McKinney. All are thankful for the years of wisdom and love shared and will miss her dearly. Sue was gifted with her hands and held jobs throughout her career that allowed her to use them. She worked for Olan Mills as a Photography Color Artist, a Wire Welder for Texas Instruments and Bar Tender at the VFW. Sue lived an adventurous life and had many stories to share with her children and grandchildren. She also had a knack for telling things the way they were. Sue had a love for animals and helping those in need. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, bingo, gardening and sitting in the backyard listening to the birds sing. She loved being outdoors as well as fishing. She spent many hours with a line in the water. Sue will have private services for the direct family only. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Stroke Foundation in her name.
