Deborah Mae Caperton, of Dallas, Texas, passed away June 28, 2017 at the age of 59 years. Deborah was born on September 14, 1957 to Joseph Caperton and Mary Ellen Johnston Caperton. She grew up in Dallas and graduated from WW Samuell High School before going on to Eastfield College. Deborah enjoyed traveling, fishing, concerts, casinos, movies and sports but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and socializing with friends. Loving sister, aunt, and friend; Deborah never met a stranger. If you were her friend, it was for life. She would always remember your birthday or important events and celebrate life with you. She was a caretaker; selflessly giving all she had for others. Deborah made no distinction between race, gender, or religion when it came to choosing her friends because, to her, we are all truly created equal. She was optimistic all her years; capable of looking past the lows in life to strive for a better tomorrow and encouraging others to do just the same. When Debbie heard some bad news she would simply say "thats not my truth" and proceed to do whatever she could to turn the situation around. She was known for using the acronym "BDOML" which stood for "Best Day Of My Life" and was her response when asked how she was doing. She always kept a positive attitude. Deborah Mae Caperton is preceded in death by her mother and by her brother, Joseph E. Caperton. She is survived by her sister, Mary Kathleen Jobe and husband Wayne Jobe, of Streetman, Texas, niece, Kathey Cavin and husband DJ Cavin, of Wills Point, Texas, nephew Kevin Cox and wife Kelsey Cox, of Aubrey, Texas, great nieces & nephews; Karissa, Lex, Kase, Graham, and Hudson, as well as extended family and dear friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at the Art-Centric Gallery in the Dallas Design District, 1609 E. Levee Street, Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Debbies name to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
