Carolyn passed away after a sudden illness on Sunday, July 7, 2024.

Carolyn was born in Houston, TX to Floyd and Willa Mae (McLeod) Cutler on July 27, 1951. A brother Jeffrey was added to the family a few years later. All family members preceded her in death.

John M. Elder, Carolyn's devoted companion, passed away in July 2023.

Survivors include first cousins: Marcella Snow, Clayton Moore, Sharon Clark, Gloria Doll, Beverly Cutler, Tommie Faye Thompson and Kevin Cutler and their families, Jeanne Werner (John's sister), members of her Sunday School Class at St. Andrew Methodist Church, and multiple friends from work and other organizations.

Carolyn graduated from Waldrip High School in Houston, TX. She went on to receive a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Texas in Austin.

Carolyn worked in administrative and accounting jobs for various companies in Houston and eventually moved to Dallas, TX. She retired from AT&T on July 30, 2018.

A memorial service will be held at the St Andrew Methodist Church's columbarium at a later date.
