Charles Henry "Chuck" Burch, 81, of Lewisville, TX passed away during the early morning of August 7,2018 in his home. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, August 24th at The DFW National Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Gateway Funerals and Cremations Charles was born in Lake Village, Arkansas on February 24, 1937. He grew up in Arkansas with his 4 older siblings, Jesse, Mildred, Lovenda, Joyce, and Doris. At 17, he enlisted in the US Air Force and served proudly in the Korean War. After leaving the military, Chuck spent a majority of his young life working for the US Post Office, followed by Texas Instruments and Dunbar Security. Charles was married to Marlene Margaret Chase on August 2, 1957. They were married for 60 years. Charles is survived by grandsons, Chip, Matthew and Michael Burch, granddaughters Michelle and Marlene Burch, daughter, Kellie Maley, great-granddaughter, Iris Dunning, niece Mary Ann Souders, nephew David Hunt, daughter-in-law Tammy Burch, and numerous other family and friends. Charles is preceded in death by his son Scott Burch and wife of 60 years Marlene Burch. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to The National Veterans Foundation.
