Charles Ray Dewberry passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026, at the age of 92. He was born January 22, 1934, in Pecan Gap, Texas, to William Elton and Alvenia Burt Dewberry.

Charles grew up in Dallas and married his high school sweetheart, Nina Rodgers, in 1953. He had a long career in the US Air Force, serving in Korea, Vietnam, and many varied locales. He loved sports and supporting his children's activities. After moving back to the Dallas area, he worked for many years for the US Postal Service. Upon retirement, he enjoyed traveling with Nina throughout the US.

Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 69 years and his six siblings. He is survived by his children, Gerald Dewberry (Nancy), Sharon Stewart (Douglas), Danny Dewberry, and Rodger Dewberry (Irene Suarez). Also surviving are several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to a charity of choice.
