Obituary

Christopher Rome Hunt was born on December 10, 1975, and passed away on April 3, 2024, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father J. H. "Jolly" Hunt and his grandmother Etta Foley.

Christopher is survived by his devoted wife; Katrina Hunt of Houston, two daughters Audrey Hunt of Denton, and Autumn Hunt-Ross, her husband Justin Ross of Denton, one granddaughter Kaisley of Denton, his mother Rebecca Hunt of Hobbs, New Mexico, his two brothers Richard Hunt of Lubbock, Brandon Hunt, his wife Laura Hunt of Hobbs, New Mexico, mother and father-in-law Peter and Patsy Davidson of Kress, brother-in-law Kacy Caddel of Plainview; 2 nieces, 1 nephew, 1 great-nephew, and 1 great-niece.

Christopher grew up in Hobbs, New Mexico where he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the College of the Southwest and received his bachelor's degree in business management. He married Katrina Hunt on June 17, 2000, in Lubbock Texas. In 2003 he moved his family to Lewisville, Texas to work for CVS Pharmacy. He followed his passion by opening his own business as a Home Inspector. His weekends were filled with supporting his daughters' athletic teams and annual cheer competitions in Florida. He enjoyed cracking jokes and keeping you on your toes with his one-of-a-kind sense of humor. He was the king of useless trivia and everything 80's.

In August of 2020, he received the news he had a tumor behind his knee. He completed twenty-five radiation treatments and had successful surgery to remove the tumor in November 2020. With this news his "no shave November" turned into a goal of growing his beard until he was cancer-free. Well over 100 beard oils at a time later, he grew the most epic 18-inch beard.

Christopher loved his family immensely and let them know how much they were treasured every chance he could. He was an amazing father, husband, son, brother, son-in-law, and Papa. We love you forever Daddy.
