Christopher Byron Shook, adored son of Laurie and Steve Shook of Murphy, Texas was born in Kansas City Missouri on December 19, 1988, and passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024, in Seoul Korea.

His childhood years were spent in Kansas City and Naperville Illinois playing youth soccer, baseball, boy scouts and camping with grandparents. As a young child Christopher was blessed with a bright mind and sense of curiosity, which lead him to excel in his studies.

Christopher graduated from Plano East Senior High School in 2007. He loved golf, playing on the PESH golf team while winning several tournaments and enjoying the camaraderie of his teammates.

Christopher then graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2010 as a Phi Beta Kappa including a study abroad program in Spanish in Valencia Spain.

Christopher's professional life advanced once again when he completed his joint degree program at the University of Pittsburgh school of Law and Carnegie Mellon (JD/MBA) in 2017, passing the Pennsylvania bar exam and becoming licensed in 2018. While at Pitt he broadened his international experience with an internship in Pristina, Kosovo.

While in Pittsburgh Christopher met the love of his life, JaHyun Kang PhD. Their love of travel and adventure made them an ideal match leading to marriage vows in Oahu, Hawaii in 2015 and at the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Boston. JaHyun is Associate Professor in the College of Nursing at Seoul National University. Christopher was visiting assistant professor at SNU College of Medicine, including cowriting numerous papers between medical, business and legal topics.

Christopher left us too soon to be with our Father in heaven. He leaves a legacy of love for his family and friends, and we will forever carry him in our hearts.
