"Miss Classie" and "Momo"

Classie Mae was called to rest December 3, 2024. She passed peacefully in her sleep with her daughter, Brenda by her bedside. She lived a feisty 94 year old life up to the end. She had no known ailments, it was just her time to rest.

Known to most as Miss Classie, she had 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was a member of Sacred Heart and St. Mary's Catholic Church. Classie retired as a bus driver for the Port Arthur Independent School District in 1992. She and her two daughters lived life together as a trio deemed, "The Golden Girls" in Port Arthur until moving to Irving, Texas in 2009. She enjoyed a life surrounded by family, friends and fun.

Miss Classie was predeceased by her parents Horace and Ida, her brother and sister Warren "Uncle Buster" and Betty, "Nooney", her children Herbert Turner, Jr., Virgie Iles and Grandson Gerald "Toodie" Normand.

She is survived by her daughter Brenda Normand, Grandchildren: Kenneth (Tiffany) Normand, Classonia (Damion) Prier. Carronia Stelly and Hershawna (Paul) Frison. Great grandchildren, Kenneth, Nicholas, Gerald, Isaac, Maven and Symphony. And a host of family and friends.

Special thanks to all Las Brisas Rehabilation doctors, nurses, and caregivers who helped make her stay joyous. And thanks to Vitas Hospice for making her final days comfortable.

Per her request Classie was cremated and a private mass was dedicated in her honor.
