Jerry passed peacefully on January 13, 2015, with his wife of 51 years by his side. Born on October 31, 1932, in Sioux City, Iowa, he moved to Texas at the age of 10. Jerry was a University of Texas alumnus and an accomplished architect who served as the AIA Dallas Chapter President; President of the TSA; and a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects. His landmark designs include North Dallas Bank and Old Town shopping center. He was also an artist and astronomer who served on the McDonald Observatory Board of Visitors. A loving husband, father and friend, Jerry was known for his wit, wisdom and quiet, gentle nature. Jerry is survived by his wife Jane Clement; his daughter Marilee Clement Benson and her husband Jim; his son John Clement and his wife Lisa; grandchildren Michael Benson and wife Sanjeebani, Daniel Benson, Nicholas Benson, Lee Clement and Madison Clement; and great-grandson Nolan. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 30, 2015, in the sanctuary of Highland Park United Methodist Church.
