Roger Cofer was the youngest of the five children born to Hiram and Sue Cofer. He was raised by a loving hard working farming family near Winnsboro in east Texas. After graduating from Winnsboro High School in 1968 Roger moved to Dallas, TX. Roger was baptized as one of Jehovahs Witnesses in 1963, and remained active in the volunteer work performed by Jehovahs Witnesses until his death. He met the love of his life, Beverly Conant, in the congregation in Dallas and they were married on March 4, 1972. They remained in Dallas and raised two children, Randy Cofer of Dallas and Cindy Cofer of Rockwall. He worked hard to care for his family as a skilled carpenter and craftsman. Being very handy he enjoyed teaching others the skills he acquired, especially his grandchildren. But he always made time to enjoy his family whether playing dominoes or snow skiing. Roger is survived by his wife Beverly, son Randy and his wife Sarah, daughter Cindy, and five grandchildren Mason, Micah, Aaron, Emma, and Ethan. As well as his four siblings Charline Cady, Leola Scofield, Harvel Cofer, Wilma Crone and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday October 8th, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses at 2749 S. Sam Houston Rd.
