Obituary

Frances C. Condit, 74, of Plano, Texas passed away peacefully at home on September 3, 2017. She was born on Staten Island, New York on January 16, 1943. She graduated high school in 1960 from Notre Dame Academy and in 1964 earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Notre Dame College now part of St. John's University. After living the first 27 years of her life in New York, 1970 until 1975, was spent moving several times. First to Toledo, Ohio then to Baltimore, Maryland followed by a brief stay in Sommerville, New Jersey before making her home in Texas. Fran's family was very important to her. She was a devoted mom to her two children being a stay at home mom, soccer coach, school volunteer, girl scout cookie mom and holding countless other roles. In the late 1970s Fran returned to the workforce at MPF Research. She remained with MPF (now Realpage) until she retired in 2005. Her biggest joy in life was being a grandmother. For many years, she spent every Saturday evening spoiling her grandchildren. She went annually to the circus, didn't miss a childrens' concert, and traveled to Disney World three times. In 2015 after a lengthy illness, Fran moved into Brookdale Collin Oaks Assisted Living. She was proud to be made a Resident Ambassador and enjoyed helping with activities. She never slowed down and always had new ideas and projects in the works. Fran is survived by a son and daughter in law, KC and Laura Condit, a daughter and son in law, Dawn and Tom Brown, two grandchildren, Rachel and Jason Brown, her brother, William Cooke, two nieces and five great-nephews and great-nieces. A funeral mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church at 2700 W. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano, TX on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 3:00pm. Interment will follow the mass at the columbarium of the church. Family will host a reception for all at the church. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in her name to Texas Cares Cat Adoption and Rescue (www.texascares.org) or White Rock Dog Rescue (www.whiterockdog.org).
