Cora Elizabeth Johnson, 90, of Frost, Texas, passed away on January 20th, 2018 peacefully in her home. The memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 10th at The Red Barn at Crafton Farms, 209 Crafton Rd., Portland, Tennessee. Charles Walker will officiate with Alice Walker offering memories of the deceased and Tony Grace leading prayer. Cora Elizabeth was born in Portland, Tennessee on November 27, 1927. During her long and happy lifetime she enjoyed traveling with her sisters, sewing, reading and of course spending time with her beloved family. Cora Elizabeth is survived by her sister Billie Gilligan of Carmel, Indiana; honorary sister Frances Waller of Knoxville, Tennessee; daughter Debby Cassetty of Portland, Tennessee; son Bobby Johnson of Frost, Texas; daughter Lisa Tucker of Frost, Texas; six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and fourteen great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Cora Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Walter, her son Ernie Johnson, grandson Brian Johnson, brother Charles McGee, sisters Maxine Scott, Lila Danis, Rebecca Fain, and Jo McDonald. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Alzheimer's research. The family wishes to thank Hand in Hand Hospice of Corsicana, Texas for their loving care of their mother.
