Luis Jesus Cornejo Rey of Plano, Texas, originally from Piedecuesta, Colombia passed away in his sleep on November 9, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 63 years. He is honored now by his loving wife, his six children, his 11 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Luis Jesus Cornejo Rey was a true patriarch. What we would consider a throwback in today's society to a more chivalrous time. What he leaves behind is not just simple love but a legacy. A legacy of being good, honest, and hard working man. A man that loved and provided for his family all the days of his life. We should not mourn his passing, but rather celebrate the life of somebody who we should only hope to be like. Strong, silent and pure of heart. His memory will be carried on in the hearts and minds of his family as he is laid to rest, and he will be missed. He will always be our shared love and the love he bestowed on all his children and grandchildren.
