Preston Lynn Coward, beloved son of Myra Ruano Benoit and Kevin Coward, was born April 12, 1987, in Dallas, Texas and passed away on June 3, 2021, in Dallas at the age of 34. Preston graduated from Plano Senior High School, attended Louisiana State University, and graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in finance. He worked for Bank of America. He loved to play golf, watch the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavs, LSU & Texas Tech football. His absolute favorite spot to vacation was Puerto Rico. He loved his family, especially his parents, and his friends (The "P" Town Gang & Mud Dogs Fantasy Football). Preston was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Irma and Clifford Rachal and Jose Ruano; paternal grandfather, Dennis Courtney. He is survived by his beloved mother, Myra Ruano Benoit of Dallas, TX; father, Kevin Coward "Pop" (Jennifer) of DeRidder, LA; brother, Wesley Coward; sister, Victoria DeLome; grandmother, Jennie Courtney "Nana"; and grandparents, Tommy and Doris Coward. On Friday, June 11, 2021, a brief prayer service will be held at Calvary Lutheran Church, 9807 Church Road, Dallas, TX at 4:30pm followed by a Celebration of Life at the Hilton Anatole Hotel (Coronado Ballroom in the Ser Tower far entrance) at 6:30pm. Please direct all flower and plant deliveries to Myra Ruano Benoit, Room 2474 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel (2201 N Stemmons Fwy, Dallas, TX 75207).
