Obituary

Jean Marjorie Luse Coyle, 88, of Bedford went to be with her Lord on Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, losing her battle with cancer. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Message Church, 2009 Highway 121, Bedford. Jean was born Jan. 14, 1928, in Altoona, Pa., to Matthew and Eleanor Davis Luse. After graduating West Philadelphia High in 1946, she married John Coyle becoming a 22-year "camp follower" in the Army. They were married 67 years and had two daughters, Andi and Molly. Jean volunteered in many capacities while being an Army wife: swimming teacher in Fort Sill, Okla.; Girl Scout commander in Pirmasens, Germany; and a Grey Lady in multiple military hospitals assisting doctors and nurses. She received The Spirit of El Paso Award for her zoo docent volunteerism. Her passion was her art and she was very active in the Hondo Art League prior to moving to Bedford in 2010. She was predeceased in death by husband, John Coyle, 2014; daughter, Andi Coyle, 1979; and brother, Glen "Bud" Luse, 2008. Please send the family condolences and sign the guest book on this site.
