Craig Donald
Bruecks
Apr 30, 1971 — Sep 3, 2024
Craig Donald Bruecks, 53, of Wylie, Texas, passed away September 3, 2024, surrounded by his family and entered into the loving arms of Our Heavenly Father.
Celebration of Craig's life: 1 p.m., September 21, 2024, at North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Dallas, Texas 75234, officiated by Blake Lander, Associate Pastor of First Baptist Dallas.
Craig was born April 30, 1971, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Joseph Martin Bruecks and Cheryl Lee Bruecks (Jones), and was the extra ornery baby brother to Kimberly Jo Bruecks-Spillers. He was blessed with the most amazing family — three incredible parents, Joseph, Cheryl and Loren, his sisters, aunts, uncles, and his extended family that he loved and cherished deeply. Craig graduated from Jenks High School in Jenks, Oklahoma, Class of 1989. He went on to live a full and colorful life with endless stories to tell.
Craig's pride and joy are his three sons, Joshua Joseph (1996), Justin Donald (1998), and Jacob Loren (2000), and the Oklahoma Sooners. BOOMER SOONER.
Craig gave his heart to the Lord and truly loved everyone as Jesus loves. He truly had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back. Craig was a student of all things and a profound wealth of knowledge. He studied and soaked up all the knowledge he could about anything and everything. He was a fabulous and extremely captivating source of random facts that he loved to share with everyone. More than anything He loved the Lord, his boys and his family, his sweetie and love - Camille, his dogs - Boomer, Lola, and Cain, his friends, his Capital Title family, the title business, football, OU sports, karting with Justin and Jacob, fishing with Loren and the boys, history, YouTube videos, and talking to people for hours and hours, among many others.
Craig is survived by his parents, Loren and Cheryl Jones of Plano; sister, Kimberly Bruecks-Spillers of Omaha, Nebraska; stepsisters, Stacey and Leslie; sons, Joshua, Justin and Jacob of Wylie; fiancé, Camille Matthews of Wylie; Aunt, Linda DeNovo; Boomer, Lola and Cain; Natalie Matthews; and his extended family, coworkers, and a multitude of friends.
Craig was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Martin Bruecks, his Uncle Jim DeNovo, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made "In Honor of Craig Bruecks" to the American Heart Association, Rockwall Pets, or an animal shelter of your choice.
