The family of Elizabeth "Betty" Wagner Curran announces with great sadness the passing of their beloved mother on January 14, 2021 after a long battle with Alzheimers Disease. Born and raised in Yonkers, NY, Betty went on to graduate from the Academy of Mount Saint Vincent High School in Tuxedo Park, NY and Trinity College in Washington, DC. After college she worked as a secretary for the CIA. It was in DC where she met the love of her life Jack P Curran who was attending Georgetown Dental School. They married in 1954 and moved to Norwalk CT where they resided for 35 years and raised 4 children. As her children grew older Betty became a licensed real estate broker. When she wasnt working she enjoyed dancing, playing bridge and golf. In 1990, Betty and Jack retired to Skidaway Island in Savannah, GA. In her retirement Betty became a Lifemaster bridge player, founded a dancing troupe called the Savannah Strutters and made a hole in one playing golf. The most important things to Betty were family, friends and faith. She was a loving wife, a loving mother, a loving grandmother and the favorite aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Betty is survived by her sons Jack, Paul (Marilen) and Robert. Grandchildren John Mobley, Chris Mobley and Paul Curran. She was predeceased by her husband Jack in 2003, brother Chester Wagner, sister Mary Lou Landry, daughter Jane Mobley Zehringer and grandson Gregory Mobley.
