Daisy Mae Osberry Lawson was born June 15, 1951 in Bunkie, LA. She earned her heavenly wings on January 27, 2022 at the age of 70.
Daisy accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She also labored for the Lord as an Ordained Evangelist. She was the daughter of the late David & Ellen Obserry. Daisy was the former wife of Arthur Lawson, Sr. and their union produced 5 children.
Daisy was the loving mother of Kim Lawson, Evangeline Parker, Arthur Jr., Johnny Sr. and Tina Lawson. As a woman who loved children, she also loved, raised and cared for another child sent by God, Lashe Andrews, along with her bonus children, Isaiah Parker and De'Anna LaVigne-Lawson.
She leaves 10 grandsons; Kevin Sr. (Dana), Darnell, Joshua, & John Garner, Arthur III, Johnny Jr, Jonathan, & Jeramie Lawson, Marland & Jonte Jones. Three granddaughters, Amyri & Alayah Lawson, and Angel Jefferson. Her overflow was 5 great grandsons; Kevin Jr., King, Kyrie, & Kobe Garner and Malichi Williams and great granddaughter, Camiya Kennedy; her sisters, Thelma Bowie & Sarah Osberry; brother, Jerry Osberry; and God son, Gary Johnson.
Daisy was preceded in death by her parents, David & Ellen Osberry; grandparents, Balam & Ethel Drummer; siblings: Charley, Charles & Dorothy Osberry; nephews, Dwayne Bowie and Charles Osberry Jr.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Daisy's Life at: The Boyd Family Funeral Home 5001 Chef Menteur Hwy., New Orleans, LA. Thursday, February 3, 2022 1:30 P.M. Visitation will begin at 12:30 P.M. Due to Covid pandemic masks are required for service.
