We are saddened to announce that David Wesley Daniel passed away on Feb 12, 2025, at 63 in Plano Texas after suffering a massive stroke.
David was born on September 14, 1961, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Lois and Raymond Daniel. He attended Parkdale Elementary, Hamlin Jr. High and Ray High School there where he excelled academically and enjoyed film making. After completing his education at the University of Texas in Austin where he graduated Phi Kappa Phi with honors, David embarked on a career in Finance in the Dallas area.
He was enthusiastic about guitars, particularly bass ones. And found himself partaking in a church band for several years. He also loved dogs of all types, from his first hound Gus to his mother's terrier Mitzi when she could no longer look after her. And finally, to his last but sweetest terrier Mina.
David was a lifelong Christian, growing up in the Windsor Park Church of Christ. And more recently attended Highlands Country Fellowship of Dallas.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father and is survived by sister Patricia, brother Alan, sister-in-law Anne and his two nephews Dylan and Logan. As well as a small but close group of longtime friends. He was a beloved brother, uncle, and friend. As we mourn his loss, let his life serve as inspiration and example to us all for faith and the devotion for family, friends and self.
A celebration of David's life will be at his brother Alan's house on Sunday March 2nd, between noon and 3:00. This will be a casual gathering allowing for friends to come by at their convenience. Please join us for photos, food, and fond memories.
