David Allen Jackson was promoted to his heavenly home on October 3, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. He was born on January 10, 1955, at Historical Landmark, Speegle Clinic and Hospital in Garland, TX. David was well known for his confidence and positive attitude in any situation with calmness. He had a willingness to help anyone in need. In his youth, he assisted his father on their ranch in Oklahoma and he worked for his father's custom home building business. In subsequent years used his knowledge in home and commercial construction and became a very successful Large Loss Commercial Property Claims Examiner. He mentored many co workers in the industry. He was a faithful Christian, loving husband, father, grandfather, and mentor. David was proceeded in death by his parents, Charlie and Bobbie Jackson who were longtime residents of Garland, TX until their retirement years. He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Bonnie Kelley Jackson, father-in-law Aldridge Kelley, son Ray Jackson, daughter- in- law Abbie Jackson, granddaughter Hazel Jackson, grandson Daniel Jackson, son Steven Jackson, future daughter- in- law Claudia Westergard and her daughter Luna Ferguson, sister Jane Ann Smallwood, sister Charlene Taylor, brother-in-law Jeff Taylor, twin sister Doris Raley, brother in-law Doug Raley, brother Jonathan Jackson, sister-in-law Kara Jackson. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
David has left us with a lifetime of sweet loving memories and adventures. He also left a legacy of love and service for his family and friends.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 12, at Northplace Church, 2800 Pleasant Valley Rd, Sachse, TX 75048. Family visitation: 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Memorial Service 11:00 am. 2 Timothy 4:7-8: I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
