Anna Mason Davis "Anne", age 90, of Plano, Texas, passed away on Monday, February 23rd 2015. Anne was born on April 11th 1924 to the late John Frank Mason and Anna Templar Mason in Antioch, California as a 4th generation Californian. She leaves behind her loving husband of 73 incredible years, Col. Eugene William Davis, who was her best friend throughout life. Anne's beauty & grace will be remembered by all that knew her; including those young men who chased after her as well as her husband who made sure to set them straight. Anne was a woman of many talents. She enjoyed her needlework projects, crochet, knitting, and was quite a skilled artist. She loved crossword puzzles, games of solitaire, jigsaw puzzles and reading (including the Encyclopedia) which, when paired with her genius IQ, made her love for trivia unmatchable. Possibly most impressive was her dedication to supporting her husband's notable military career first as a Marine in WWII through his retirement from the Army. Anne was a wonderful cook who enjoyed creating meals inspired by all over the world. She loved to travel with her husband. Together they've been to over 75 countries and all 50 U.S. states though she would always consider Bali to be her favorite place. Anna M. Davis will be remembered as a kind woman and wonderful mother who cherished family above all else. Anne will be dearly missed by her husband, Col. Eugene William Davis, daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Anne Carberry and Sterling Carberry, of Fairview, TX, son, Ronald Eugene Davis, of Oroville, CA, son and daughter-in-law, Richard John Davis and Heidi Davis, of Pacific Grove, CA, and her sister, Barbara Rehborg of San Luis Obispo, CA. Though there will be no services at this time, Anne and Eugene's legacy will be honored at the Arlington National Cemetery in VA in the future when they can be together again.
