Obituary

Joseph Samuel Davis passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, surrounded by family and friends. Sam also grew up in the mountains of New Mexico where his parents owned and ran a boys and girls camp, Camp Davis. In his youth he enjoyed trips "over the mountain" with his brothers to fish for trout and in later years sitting on the front porch of the Big House with family and friends. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather and enjoyed watching them swim in Gammie's pool on hot summer days. He began his career at Cities Service and later the Southland Corporation (7-11) where he retired as tax manager in 2003. Sam is survived by his wife, Jackie Davis, son and daughter-in-law Jay and Debbie Davis of Boston, MA, Chris Davis Flowers of Dallas, TX, Libby Davis Vermeire of Allen, TX, son David and daughter-in-law Laurie Davis of Allen, TX.
