With deep sorrow, the Barnard family announces the passing of our beloved Dawn on 1/20/2025. Born on January 24, 1961 she was just days away from turning 64.

As the eldest of five sisters, Dawn led the sisters with a gentle heart and unbreakable determination.

Despite living with multiple sclerosis, Dawn's spirit soared beyond her physical limitations. Her unwavering will to live, paired with her bright smile, inspired everyone around her. She was a graduate of the University of North Texas. She loved spending time with family and her devoted friends, and the simple joys of togetherness were her greatest treasure.

Dawn is survived by her mother, her four devoted sisters, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who admired her courage and compassion.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Turner and her father, Temple Barnard. She leaves behind a legacy of resilience and hope that will forever light our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to support multiple sclerosis research or disability advocacy organizations.

We find peace knowing Dawn is now free from the confines of her illness, and her memory will continue to guide us with love and strength.
