Salvatore "Sal" Peter DeRasmo passed away on April 8, 2014, at the age of 82, following a brief illness. He was born in Queens, New York, on August 25, 1931, and served our country proudly in the United States Navy. Sal is preceded in death by his parents, Dominick and Grace DeRasmo, and brother, Mauro DeRasmo. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nellie DeRasmo, his children, Grace Sliwinski (Steve), Dominick DeRasmo, and Dolores DeRasmo, his grandchildren, Lauren and Lisa Sliwinski, and his siblings, Nicholas DeRasmo, Clara Abbatiello, and Catherine Paradiso. Per his request, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers please make donations in his honor to the American Cancer Society.
