John Frederick DeRome Born on August 31, 1979 in Houston, Texas. He passed away on February 3, 2016 in The Colony, Texas. He was married to Veronica Marie Fuentes. He was a loving father son, and loyal friend. By Grace, John received the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We all have the privilege of seeing him again. John was a kind and compassionate man. He would always help a stranger in need. Once told he was a "good Dad" his response was "It's just about love." He graduated from Le Cordon Blue Culinary School. His desserts were out of this world and his macadamia nut brittle was a Christmas hit. Preceded in death by his half-sister, Rose King; uncle, Charles King; cousin, Justin King; and stepfather for 10 years, Michael F. Leard. Survived by his mother, Elena Cole and Stepfather, Larry Cole of The Colony, Texas; father, Frederick DeRome of Tacoma, Washington; daughter, Hailey DeRome and her mother and wife for over 10 years, Rebecca Wilson of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Raven Rose DeRome of Seattle, Washington; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A service celebrating his life was held on February 10, 2016 at the ARIA Memorial Chapel officiated by uncle, Bill Rhea of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Memorials may be made in John's name to Christian Farms Treehouse, 3804 Riverside Trail, Temple, Texas 76502. Absent from the body is present with the Lord. We miss you so very much.
