Diane C. Johns, 82 of Columbia, MD, passed away on August 28, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Johns, PhD, and her father Joseph Albrecht. She is survived by her mother Charlotte Albrecht, brother David Albrecht, sons Brian (Amy) Johns and Jeff Johns and grandson Eli Johns. Diane was an RN at the Spring Grove Psychiatric hospital near Baltimore, MD and served as a managing nurse there from1974 to 2000. After retiring, she traveled extensively around the world pursuing her passion for nature and discovery of many of the world's natural wonders. Diane was a passionate lover of wildlife; specifically, animals and dedicated much of her life to those causes. Walking around the lake and birding was a favorite pastime, but she also loved to dance and spent many evenings square dancing with her cherished friends. She was a person of tremendous discipline, strength, and had an absolute unwavering faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior that allowed her to thrive and live an exceptional life despite a prolonged illness. Her tenacious spirit was an inspiration to all of those who knew her, and she will be sorely missed.
