Dianne Taylor Shelden
April 10,1948-August 7, 2024
Richardson, Texas
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Dianne Shelden (affectionately known as DeeDee) who passed away peacefully on August 7, 2024, at the age of 76 surrounded by family and loved ones.
Dianne was born on April 10, 1948, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Warren and Alyene Taylor. She grew up in a loving home and graduated from Longview Senior High School, where she developed lifelong friendships and memories.
After graduating, Dianne pursued higher education at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas where she earned a degree in English. Dianne started her career as a reservationist with Braniff International Airways. The bulk of her career was as a Regional Property Manager with Lincoln Property Company. In the latter part of her career, Dianne sold real estate before "retiring" to take on the treasured role of grandmother where she excelled.
Throughout her life, Dianne was known for her joie de vivre, absolute silliness, a distinctive laugh, and a fierce love for her family. Dianne married the love of her life, Stan, on December 15, 1990, and became a bonus mom of three on that treasured day.
Dianne was a voracious reader, socializer, and Diet Dr. Pepper lover. In 2011, Dianne suffered a stroke, which severely impacted her mobility but NEVER dimmed the light and love for her loved ones, nor her contagious laugh. She treasured visits and family gatherings at her home in the latter part of her journey.
Dianne will be deeply missed by her husband, Stan Shelden, stepchildren, Stacy Kimbriel (Jason), Kimberly Holt (John), Ryan Shelden (Alexandra); grandchildren, Sabrina Kimbriel, Noah and Lola Holt; siblings, Kent and Steve Taylor; sister-in-law, Marian Taylor; nephews and nieces, Kyle Keller, Courtney Keller, Matt Taylor, Chris Taylor, Alyssa Butcher, and Stephanie Muckleroy; and many loving cousins. Dianne was preceded in death by her precious sister, Barbara, and her parents.
A celebration of life will be held in September–please reach out to: diannesmemorialinformation@gmail.com to inquire about the details around the celebration. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dianne's memory may be made to stroke.org or Chickasaw Nation.
Dianne's family invites you to share your fond memories and condolences on the Aria Cremation Online Memorial Page.
