Dorothy M. Jaworek (nee: Zagar), 104 years old, died in her home in Plano, TX on July 4th, her true Independence Day!

Born on December 24, 1920 in Cleveland, Ohio, she lived in Buffalo, NY for over 40 years before moving to Plano, TX with her husband, Henry, in 1982. Although rarely working outside the home, she was the preeminent homemaker for her family. She was a member of St Paul's RC Church in Kenmore, NY and St Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church in Plano.

Survivors include her four daughters, Anita (Michael) Endres and family from Parker, Colorado, Brenda Cottone and family from Plano, Deborah (Thomas) Walsh and family from Kenmore, NY and Christine (James)Hanley and family from Angola, NY. She had 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Henry Jaworek, and all ten of her siblings.

A Celebration of Life memorial mass will be held Monday, August 18th at 11AM at St Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church, 2700 Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, TX 75023. Interment with her husband will follow at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family for a reception at the church following the memorial service.
