Sally lived a life of smiles. Wherever she went, leaving a new smile behind. Her faith in the Lord, her children and very large extended family carried her through good times and bad. She spent her life caring for others leaving her own concerns behind, while always looking out for those many people she held so dear. Friends, family, and strangers, all felt the warmth of Sallys embrace. Her love for her late husband Bud held her in her final days and hours, knowing she would be united with him again. Her joys were her children, godchildren, friends, St. Lukes church, her home filled with Laura Ashley interiors and teddy bears, her garden, and Dallas Stars hockey. She gave all of her heart to so many until she had no more to give and the Lord called her home to be with him in eternal peace. She was proceeded in death by her beloved husband Capt. Bud Duernberger, step-son Don Duernberger, foster son Kevin Linscott, and parents Emil and Helen Besedick. Carrying on her legacy are son Kevin Paul and daughter in-law Melanie Lunsford, Denver, Co., son Christopher Paul, Dallas, TX., adopted son-in law and daughter Scott and Julie Macduff, godchildren Jared and Carolyn Macduff, Dallas, TX., brother and sister-in law Michael and Beverly Besedick, niece Kelly Besedick, nephew Blaine Besedick, Albuquerque, NM. Memorial service arrangements are pending, to take place at St. Lukes in Dallas. Donations may be made in her name to St. Lukes Episcopal Church, 5923 Royal Ln, Dallas, TX 75230. May her memory be eternal! I love you Mom.
