Eleanore Blanche Vaughn was born on August 27, 1923 (99) in Hilo, Hawaii and passed away on July 31, 2023 in Frisco, Texas. Eleanore grew up in Hawaii where she later met her husband Loyd during the reconstruction of Pearl Harbor. She later moved to California when Loyd was transferred to Treasure Island. While living in Millbrae, she starting working for Guittard Chocolate Company and retired there after 25 years of service. In 1964, the family moved to Santa Clara, California.
She is referred to as Nana by her grandchildren. She loved telling stories about her life in Hawaii and the Hawaiian culture. In retirement, she loved to travel visiting her Hawaiian and Texas family as well going on bigger trips like Panama. She loved going to the movies with her best friend Dorothy, who she shared a lifelong friendship with meeting her as they grew up and lived on the same lane in Honolulu. Eleanore also enjoyed watching the Hallmark channel from her favorite chair. She passed peacefully with her family surrounding her and her favorite song playing in the background.
Eleanore was proceeded in death by her parents, husband Loyd Vaughn, son Michael Vaughn and her 7 siblings.
She is survived by her daughters Patricia Marino, Iwalani Trull; grandchildren Stacey Mitcham and husband Mark, David Marino and wife Tiffany, Gregory Romano and wife Kathleen, Christopher Romano and wife Yolie, Spencer Vaughn and wife Brittany, Vanessa Vaughn, Tammy Yeager and husband Gregg and Craig Trull. She has 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
