Bernabe Elizardo, 56 passed away unexpectedly on February 10th, 2021 in Garland, Texas. Bernie was born in Los Angeles on February 15, 1964 to Yolanda Hernandez of Guatemala City and Edward Tovar Elizardo of Los Angeles, California. He was raised the first sixteen years of his life in Guatemala City. At the age of 20 he returned permanently to the United States. As a young man, Bernie was raised in a devout Mormon home. He eventually converted to Christianity in his late twenties. He was a resident of Garland the last thirty years of his life, living for many years with his mother Yolanda. Bernabe is preceded in death by his mother Yolanda and his son. He is survived by a daughter, his father along with three brothers and two sisters.
