Ellen Gressitt Cobleigh, 63, of Sachse, Texas, passed away on January 22, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer. Born on January 3rd, 1960 in New York, Ellen grew up on Long Island and attended St. Mary's Schools in Manhasset. She graduated from Union College, and later earned a Master's degree from Fordham University. She worked for a time in education, collections for the Internal Revenue Service, a Health and Safety officer for Paragon Services and a wine consultant at Goody Goody. Through her work with Paragon Services Ellen was able to live across the United States living in various cities including her favorites; Los Angeles and New York City. Ellen was a wonderful mother and grandmother, enthusiastic dog owner, and a proud supporter and member of the greyhound racing community. She was a passionate champion of liberal causes and an advocate for LGBTQ rights. She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Cosgrove, beloved children Emily and her husband Miccah Combs, of Princeton, Texas, and Garrett Montanez, of Seattle, Washington, two cherished grandchildren, Wyatt Combs, 4, and P. Blaire Combs, 1; sisters, Carolynn Cobleigh and Nico Torrey. Ellen is predeceased by her parents, Ronald and Karen Cobleigh. Ellen was a loving, confident, and vibrant person who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends who love her dearly. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, February 6, 2023 at Aria Funeral Home located at 19310 Preston Rd, Dallas, TX 75252.
